What Our Users Say
Don't just take our word for it. Here's what our users have to say about our Android app.
"Loved the book, great to have the resource on the phone."

"Great dictionary. Slightly expensive. But provides incredible alternate kanji lookup system (and traditional lookups)."

"The dictionary overall is pretty well build. You may look for different kanji easily by skip or by the English keyword if you are able to remember it. The only downside that I had with it, is often I learned past kanjis with other type of keywords (that differs from KLC) and would find super useful if I could attach it to the respective kanji manually, so it becomes easier to look for it next time. Would that be possible to do?"
Daniel Costa
"This is overall a great app and great dictionary for Kanji study. I've had the physical copy since 2015 or 16, and am glad I can have a digital copy for studying on the go. My only gripe with the app, however, is that a new "window" opens every time I switch to a different Kanji. I feel like this app can eat my RAM with all these excess windows running in the background. But, it's just a minor gripe, so I won't tack off a star."
Brett Fagan
"Wonderful app. I love the core meanings and the way you can see how they relate to the different meanings of words using the kanji. I also feel like the translations capture the main meanings of the words really well. I just wish there was a way to export the list of bookmarked words."

"It does not work on my Huawei GR5. Pls solve it."

"I bought this app specifically so I could use it with the Kanji Leaner's Course but even though the entry numbers are provided this app won't let me search to get to the kanji. Instead I have to use browse and scroll to the entry even though I have exact number. This is tedious and time wasting. I should be able to search with the exact entry number not have to browse and scroll!"

"I have had the physical book with me for a decade. The app works very well and have convenient features such as bookmarks. I definitely recommend it over the book. For more reviews on the content check the many reviews for the physical book on Amazon. Must buy for Kanji learners. edit: I rated the physical book 5/5, I rated the app on 5/5 on release date, after the recent updates I wish I could give it more praise but 5/5 is already the full mark."
Mohammad Aljishi
"The app is back. It has certainly had its growing pains, but now that the major QA issues have been resolved, it is once again the best kanji dictionary available for tablet or smartphone."
